Pink Martini at Brighton Dome
Last Friday (09-11-07), along with some friends we went to see Pink Martini live at the Brighton Dome. Seems like everybody knows them, except me…( as a child of the 90s grunge is what I know best…)
At first, I was even thinking not to go the concert, as it was freezing outside and I was out of batteries…But since I had the ticket in my hands already, I went…
And it was worth it! Pink Martini is an amazing mix of talented musicians, with great energy, and beautiful songs. I was really supriced by the singer’s ability to sing in so many different languages with such an ease…She even sang the greek song ” Never on Sunday”, with a great accent…(ok there were a few small mistakes, but come on..!)
And when I listen something I enjoy, I want more…So next step was to find Pink Martini’s discography (Hey Eugene, Hang on Little Tomato, Sympathique) and listen to them again and again…
I could go on, with a big list of my favourite songs, but I’ll just add this one…Donde estas, donde estas, Yolanda?..
